Cybersecurity and IT Risk Lead

We’re looking for a strategic and hands-on Cybersecurity and IT Risk Lead to shape and drive our enterprise-wide cybersecurity and risk management program. This pivotal role is responsible for leading the cyber risk strategy, ensuring regulatory compliance and embedding secure-by-design principles across our technology landscape. You’ll work closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to establish a strong cyber governance framework aligned to global best practices—while ensuring local compliance with New Zealand’s regulatory environment, including the NZ Privacy Act 2020.

Other responsibilities include :

• Leading the development and execution of our cybersecurity strategy, targeting alignment with NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF) 2.0 and maintain a multi-year maturity improvement roadmap.
• Owning and operating the enterprise IT risk management program, integrating it with broader enterprise risk and internal audit functions.
• Ensuring compliance with regulatory and privacy obligations including ISO / IEC 27001 : 2022, the NZ Privacy Act 2020 and NZISM where applicable.
• Overseeing security operations and incident response, managing threat detection, response playbooks and incident resolution metrics (MTTD / MTTR).
• Driving secure architecture and cloud security standards across Azure, AWS and GCP, while owning Identity & Access Management practices.
