OverviewJoin to apply for the System Administrator role at Hexagon Safety, Infrastructure & GeospatialGet AI-powered advice on this job and more exclusive features.ResponsibilitiesMonitor and manage all Hexagon components of CAD systems including CAD, Mobile ResponderMaintain system availability in a 24-hour, 7 days per week environment in line with contractual requirementsMaintain the integrity of the CAD System's dataEnsure that software consistency is maintained throughout all supported environmentsEnsure that new products and new versions of existing products are tested and certified prior to introduction into the production environmentsIn conjunction with Management, monitor the ongoing performance of all third-party maintenance providers to ensure contract commitments are met to the required standardDevelop appropriate skills to enable the provision of preventative and remedial maintenance of all supported system componentsDevelop and maintain working relationships within Hexagon and Hexagon's customers with relevant management and staffLiaise with Hexagon technical resources on resolution of system and software issuesProactively implement changes, patches and other configuration changes to applications and OS etc.Maintain system administration, system configuration, process, procedural and task documentationProvide a point of contact for remedial and preventative maintenance services for all supported environmentsProvide technical support for production environments; including operating system, application softwareProvide technical support for installation and configuration of Hexagon productsIdentify, diagnose, and resolve technical issuesMaintain a high level of customer awareness and familiarisation with customer workflows and requirementsParticipate in project work as requiredParticipate in managing system monitoring protocols, support documentation standards, software configuration, and change control as directed by the Support Team LeadHexagon offers 24 Hour, 7 Days a week service.
You may be required to participate in a 24 Hour on-call roster, including some after-hours dutiesAct as technical escalation point for the field support team as directed by the Support Team Lead on an "as required basis"Education / QualificationsAt least 3 years' experience in a similar role managing Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, and NetworkingUnderstanding of Network Fundamentals including TCP / IP; DHCP; DNS; Firewalls; basic command-line network connectivity; troubleshootingExperience working in a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environmentHands on experience and knowledge of IT hardware and software deploymentHigh level of independence and strong customer service focusDemonstrated organisational skills to keep track of all tasks as the role requires multi taskingExposure to Microsoft SQL or Oracle would be advantageousKnowledge of PowerShell or other scripting language also beneficialPosition Specific CompetenciesMust be flexible and available for the 24 X 7 on-call support rosterYou must pass the required police and customer vetting requirementsAbout HexagonHexagon is a global leader in digital reality solutions, combining sensor, software and autonomous technologies.
