OverviewFederated Farmers is a voluntary membership-based organisation advocating for New Zealand farmers.

We are a democratic organisation consisting of 24 provinces, giving farmers a collective voice at both a regional, national, and international level.

Federated Farmers represents the specific interests of our members within Meat & Wool, Dairy, Arable, Goats, Rural Butchers, and High Country sectors.Role DescriptionThis is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Policy Advisor located in Wellington.

The Senior Policy Advisor will be responsible for providing policy advice, developing and analysing policy initiatives, and working with key stakeholders to identify and address policy issues.

The Senior Policy Advisor will also be responsible for writing briefing papers, submissions, and reports.QualificationsPolicy Development, Analytical Skills, and Research skillsExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalExperience in Public Policy or related fieldAbility to work independently and as part of a teamBachelor's degree in Public Policy, Law, Economics, or related fieldExperience in the agriculture or farming industry is a plusStrong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with key stakeholders
