We are seeking an experienced

Group Manager – Transport, NZ

to lead our national transport operations from our Auckland base.

Reporting to the Executive GM - NZ, this role is part of the NZ Senior Leadership Team and is critical in delivering safe, secure, efficient, and sustainable transport outcomes for our customers across New Zealand.

You'll take ownership of transport safety, service and financial performance while developing and leading a high-performing team.

Key responsibilities include :

Overseeing day-to-day transport operations nationally, ensuring contracts and KPIs are achieved.

Driving safety excellence, compliance, and continuous improvement across all operations.

Building strong customer relationships and delivering outstanding service performance.

Leading, coaching, and developing our people to achieve their potential.

Identifying efficiencies, optimising fleet utilisation, and managing subcontractor partnerships.

Ensuring environmental, legislative, and regulatory requirements are met.

You will be an experienced transport leader with strong commercial acumen and a proven track record of delivering operational excellence.

You'll bring :

At least 5+ years in a senior transport management role.

Extensive hands-on experience across transport / logistics operations.

Exceptional leadership, staff management, and customer relationship skills.

Strong planning, analytical, and reporting capabilities.

Proficiency in SAP, Excel, Word (preferred).

A collaborative and resilient leadership style, with the courage to influence and the integrity to build trust.

Class 5 licence with F and D endorsements (advantageous).
