Capital Project Administrator - Fixed Term. At Griffin’s Snacks, we’re proud of our heritage and being New Zealand’s largest snack food company, producing an extensive range of iconic kiwi brands. We have an exciting opportunity for a seasoned Project Administrator in a fixed term capacity till March 2028 based at our Wiri Manufacturing site. This pivotal role is to support key capital projects at the site. The role delivers essential administrative and financial process support to stakeholders, including coordinating project team activities, managing and preparing information, processing project data promptly, ensuring compliance with business policies and procedures, and providing accurate forecasting. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced project environment, has a keen eye for detail, and serves as the central point of coordination between engineering, operations, procurement, external contractors and finance.
What you’ll be responsible for
- Providing administrative and coordination support to the Capital Projects Manager and project teams.
- Project coordination — assisting the project team in coordinating meetings, updating and maintaining project timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
- Procurement & logistics support — assisting with ordering materials, equipment, and services, liaising with suppliers and managing end-to-end purchase order requests.
- Documentation and reporting — preparing, distributing, and managing project documentation including contracts, permits, designs, warranties, service agreements. Assisting in the management of records, including SAP assets and providing updates and forecasts on a monthly basis. Consistent and effective application of Griffin’s financial management procedures, policies, and practices.
- Stakeholder communication — assisting in preparing progress reports, dashboards, and presentations for stakeholders. Liaising with internal stakeholders (engineering, quality, finance, operations) and external partners to ensure smooth project delivery.
What you’ll bring to the role
Availability for an immediate start preferableProven experience in project administration, ideally within manufacturing, engineering, or constructionSkills with relevant systems — primarily Microsoft Excel (medium / advanced user). SAP, InEight and SharePoint experience would be beneficial.Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple prioritiesPerseverance and a drive to meet deadlines even when setbacks occurStrong analytical skills with the ability to present data clearly and conciselyExperience in problem solving and providing innovative advice and solutionsFamiliarity with procurement systems and document control processesTertiary qualification with an accounting or finance-related endorsement preferred but not essentialWhat can you expect in return?
