We're looking for a compassionate and proactive Team Leader to join our team!
About the Role :
As the LAC Team Leader, you'll lead a small regional team of Local Area Coordinators in the Bay of Plenty, guiding them to deliver high-quality, person-centred support.
This role blends people leadership with community impact — you'll coach and mentor your team, oversee workflows and funding requests, and ensure contract outcomes are met, all while fostering a culture of reflection and continuous improvement.
You'll also be a visible presence in the community, building strong relationships with disabled people, whanau, iwi, and service providers, and helping to identify and fill gaps in local support.
At its heart, this role is about empowering your team to enable others, championing the Enabling Good Lives principles, and ensuring disabled people have the connections and resources to live the lives they choose.
In this pivotal role, you'll :
Provide expert support, coaching, and guidance to your team
Oversee workflows and ensure contract KPIs are met
Enable your team to work with individuals and whanau to develop meaningful living well plans
Build strong relationships with disabled people, whanau, community organisations, and cross-sector partners
Support new community initiatives and effective service delivery

This role is part time, 20 hours per week.
About you
You'll bring :
A strong understanding of, and commitment to, the Enabling Good Lives vision and principles
Excellent interpersonal, coaching and leadership skills
Proven ability to build trusting relationships with diverse people and communities
Cultural awareness, particularly of tikanga, Te Ao Maori and Pasifika
Competency with technology, including Microsoft Office
Lived experience of disability or close whanau connection with the disability community (highly valued)
