The project is being delivered in partnership with NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi, Muaupoko Tribal Authority, local hapu of Ngati Raukawa ki te Tonga, and Horowhenua District Council.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role plays a vital part in ensuring data integrity and governance support for the Southern Alliance, maintaining robust systems and processes.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist with month-end processing including journals, WIP, and cost accrualsSupport implementation and adherence to financial procedures and systemsEnsure financial reporting is accurate, timely, and compliant with alliance policies and accounting standardsAssist with financial analysis of indirect costs and reconcile balance sheet accounts monthlySupport GST returns, cash tracking, and journal reconciliationsAssist with financial report preparation and budget / forecasting (Opex and Capex)Ensure accurate setup of new projects and work orders in ERP systems and maintain timesheet reportingReview AP ledger, respond to invoice queries, and manage subcontractor retention recordsAssist with credit control activities and overdue debtor reportingAbout YouTertiary qualification in AccountancyExperience with accounting software and ERP systemsExcellent numeracy and analytical abilityAdvanced experience in the operation of accounting software packages including MS SuiteAble to operate autonomously and deliver to predetermined time framesStrong organisational and communication skillsDon't tick all the boxes but still keen?
