The region's evolving environmental and political context means we will continue to be agile and adaptive, as we respond to regulatory and environmental changes.Our mahi (work) is organised around the delivery of our three core services : Environmental Regulation and ProtectionCommunity Preparedness and Response to HazardsPublic TransportThe RoleThe Regulatory Intelligence team develops and implements risk-based compliance work programmes, and this role supports our Compliance teams and Operations Group with excellent data management and administration skills.
The role also supports compliance with Farm Environment Plan requirements and following up with consent holders on their compliance against regulations and consent conditions.As a Resource Management Officer, you would be expected to grade both compliance and non-compliance, gain an understanding of the legislation, and contribute to compliance monitoring programs and process improvements.For more information on this role, please refer to the job description at the bottom of the advert.Training is provided, and you will be well supported within a close-knit team.About YouThe Role Would Suit People Who Areconfident reading data, providing advice, and taking regulatory actionable to keep accurate records and follow documented processesconfident and solutions-focussed communicators with well-developed interpersonal skillsdriven, able to work independently, and who love to achieve targets and goalsdetailed and methodical in their work, and have the ability to quickly grasp our in-house databasesin their element influencing change, working analytically and enjoy a structured, process-driven environmentAn understanding of the Resource Management Act and local government processes, and / or a relevant qualification in a related discipline would be of advantage.
