OverviewSituated within the Award winning Hanmer Springs Thermal Pools & Spa complex the Tea Kiosk Cafe and Grill is a busy, vibrant, casual cafe offering a range of food styles all within a modern kitchen environment.Our dining options are varied, and you must have experience in specialising in homemade pizzas and extensive experience in short order meal preparation.Working alongside our head chef you will support our team and ensure consistently high standards of food service.ResponsibilitiesSupport the team and ensure consistently high standards of food service.Assist with ordering and stock control in the absence of the head chef.Work alongside the head chef in menu planning and implementation as well as food costing experience.Be a team player who helps with all tasks within the kitchen; no matter how big or small the task, you pitch in to get the job done.QualificationsExperience in specialising in homemade pizzas and extensive experience in short order meal preparation.Excellent communication and leadership skills.Ability to work under pressure in a high volume environment.Experience in all aspects of cookery.Experience administering Food Control Plan and understanding of Health & Safety requirements within the kitchen.You will hold a relevant cooking qualification or have at least 2-3 years in a similar role.Organisational and time management skills.Hours and BenefitsThis is a rewarding but also challenging role.

Your hours will predominantly be

• hours per week on a set roster but you must have flexibility during holiday periods and hosting special events to put in extra effort and help the team through these busy times.

Hours vary with time of year; there are no early mornings and very few late nights.
