This role sits within the Certification and Monitoring team, delivering a specific certification project aligned to the Civil Aviation Authority of New Zealand's strategic goals.As we modernise regulation, this role contributes to intelligence-led, risk-based approaches that support aviation safety and the broader New Zealand aviation sector.What You'll DoOversee all aspects of project delivery from planning and budgeting to execution and closure.Ensure alignment with organisational priorities and regulatory requirements.Engage stakeholders, apply project management frameworks, maintain momentum, and drive progress.Manage timelines, assess and mitigate risks, and resolve issues effectively.What You'll BringProven experience in the aviation sector, ideally with knowledge of aircraft flight testing processes.3+ years of experience in project management or leading complex project workstreams.Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.Proficiency with project management tools and techniques to deliver successful outcomes.Experience in planning and organising, including developing project schedules and delivery plans.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Project, Excel, and PowerPoint.A project management qualification (e.g. PRINCE2, PMP) is desirable but not essential.SalaryStarting salary within Aviation Safety Oversight is between $136,939 and $191,448, based on knowledge, skills, experience, and internal relativities.What We ValueValues : Professionalism, Respect, Integrity, Transparency, and Collaboration.
