Baker

Burbank Bakery in Manurewa currently look for two hardworking and reliable Bakers to join our team. Working hours is between 35 and 40 hours per week. Pay rate ranges from $29 to $31 per hour.

Suitable candidates must have the following skills and attributes :

Minimum 2 years (preferable 3 years) of work experience as baker or similar roles.

Available to start work at 4am and can work on weekends and public holidays.

Physically fit for tasks that requires physical strength such as heavy liftings or standing for extended periods.

Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Have strong multitasking and organizational skills.

Reliable and punctual, can work independently as well as in a team.

Your duties will include :

Producing fresh breads, buns and doughs.

Producing fresh sweets such as sponges, cakes and cookies.

Producing fresh pastries.

Managing presentation and decoration of baked goods.

Monitoring baking ovens.

Maintaining the cleanliness of equipment and workspace.

Ensuring workplace safety in managing self and others.

Assessing and improving any products when seen fit to do so.

Liaising with bakery manager on any concerns or suggestions.

Performing any other related duties.
