We specialise in supplying truck parts fast and correct the first time.Job OverviewAs a Truck Parts Salesperson at Lorryland, you'll be the key interface between customers and our extensive stock of truck parts.
You'll assist clients - both walk-ins and phone / email / online buyers - through identifying, sourcing, and finalising parts sales, with a strong focus on customer service, technical accuracy, and inventory coordination.ResponsibilitiesCustomer Engagement & Sales : Assist customers in locating and selecting correct parts - whether from dismantled stock or new aftermarket items.Advise on compatible alternatives when exact matches are unavailable.Accurately quote prices, prepare invoices, and process sales (counter, phone, email).
Upsell relevant companion parts when suitable.Parts Identification & Cataloguing : Use parts catalogues, diagrams, and internal systems to assist in identifying components.Use your technical knowledge of trucks and models from various manufacturers (Isuzu, Volvo, Scania, etc.).
Inventory & Stock Management : Maintain stock records and help manage inventory levels.Coordinate with dismantling and warehousing teams to track availability.Flag low-stock items for reordering or dismantling.Order Fulfilment & Follow-up : Process outgoing shipments and work closely with courier services.Handle incoming parts returns, warranty claims, and exchange requests.Removing some parts, as required.Collaboration & Communication : Work with internal teams - warehouse, dismantling, and management - to ensure seamless operations.Relay customer needs for items not in stock or special-order parts.After-sales & Problem Resolution : Follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction.Address queries or issues post-sale promptly (e.g., part fitment problems, delivery discrepancies).
QualificationsTechnical knowledge in heavy vehicles.Previous experience in parts sales, ideally in heavy truck or automotive sectors (e.g. as a Parts Rep, Mechanic or Salesperson).
Strong communication skills—able to explain technical details clearly to customers.Proficiency with computers and parts databases; e.g. Microsoft Office skills beneficial (we will give you training on our internal systems).
