Job description

We are looking for an experienced Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic to join our team based in Bell Block, New Plymouth.

Responsibilities :

Diagnosing and repairing heavy vehicles
Conducting routine maintenance and safety inspections
Maintaining accurate services records and documenting all repairs
Communicating effectively with the rest of the team and customers
Staying up-to-date with industry advancements and new technologies

Requirements :

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

A relevant qualification or relevant industry experience (essential)

Sound knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, transmissions and electrical systems

Good time management and the ability to prioritise – this is a very busy role

Class 5, Forklift & WTR Licences preferred but not essential – support for obtaining these licences is provided
