Activities Coordinator | Whangarei

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Activities Coordinator to support our residents with activities, to maintain active lives and support their wellbeing. The position is based at our Whangarei Park Village, in Whangarei, Northland.

40 hours per week over 5 days, including both days of the weekend. The successful candidate can choose to work Wednesday to Sunday or Saturday to Wednesday, 8.30am - 5pm.

Key responsibilities will include :

• Planning and implementing an innovative activities program
• Assisting residents to participate in organized activities
• Conducting one-on-one or small group personalized activities
• Establishing and maintaining a therapeutic environment
• Ensuring the health and safety of residents

About you

We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, creative, outgoing, and can think outside the box. A genuine love for the elderly and a desire to make a difference are essential. Experience as an Activities Coordinator is preferred, but this role could also suit an experienced caregiver eager to broaden their skills and ensure residents enjoy a therapeutic environment and engaging activities at our Care Suites.
