Front of House staff

We are seeking experienced staff who will join our busy restaurant in the Auckland Region.

The role of front of house at Hammer Head New Zealand Limited (Trading as Daruma Sushi).

Key Duties

• ・Greet and escort customers to seats them

・Taking orders and delivering them to the table deftly and accurately

・Arrange table settings and maintain a tidy dining area.

・Supervise the waiting staff and help with services

・Serve guests to the restaurant's standards and maintain a comfortable dining environment

・Maintain stock of necessary beverages and condiments for the restaurant

・Ensure guests stay safe and orderly within the restaurant

・Set tables and ensure they're ready for the next guest

・Deal with supplier contracts for stock and inventory

・Train new staff members

・Enforce restaurant standards

・Any other duties the employer may reasonably require

・General operations and tasks related to the Japanese Restaurant

Key Requirements

・At least 1 year relevant commercial experience

・Demonstrate great communication with staff, suppliers, and head office

・Able to work weekends

・LCQ, Duty Manager Certificate, or similar is a plus

Position Details

・Permanent full-time offer

・Minimum 30 hours per week (includes weekend shift)

・Roster is weekly based
