Our client is a leading packaging manufacturer based at Wigram.
We're seeking skilled and motivated SMT Operators with an engineering background to join their dynamic team.
About the Role
Operating SMT machines efficiently to minimise downtime
Setting up machines for production runs
Changing components and applying solder paste to boards
Inspecting assembled products for faults
Controlling stencils and maintaining SMT quality records
SMT Hand Placement
Notifying the Store Controller when reels of parts are low
Monitoring solder paste and consumables inventory
Performing preventive maintenance of SMT machines
Monitoring machine reject / fault rates
Supporting production as needed during overload periods
Inspecting finished PCBs and performing fault analysis
Testing, verification, and fault-checking electronic products according to technical manuals

Monday – Thursday 3 : 20 – 11 : 50pm and Friday 2 : 20pm – 10 : 50pm

What We're Looking For
Previous SMT experience
Strong functional and technical skills in electronics assembly
Ability to follow processes and simplify complex tasks
Quick learning in new environments
Strong problem-solving skills
Relevant tertiary qualification or technical training
Please note : Successful candidates must pass a pre-employment drug test and a Ministry of Justice convictions check.
