About the role
Permanent Medicine Registrar position starting 2 February
This is a 6-month RACP-accredited training position.
The role is open to doctors willing to undertake the full year (two 6-month postings).
The registrar will work with a small team of consultants and pre-vocational doctors, and will lead and learn while having direct contact with the SMO physician team and other specialty teams.
Responsibilities
Cover Surgery, Paediatrics, Orthopaedics and O&G when rostered for long days and weekends.
Provide comprehensive general medical care across a wide scope of hands-on learning.
Lead and support junior clinicians within the team.
Qualifications
Graduate from a Medical School in New Zealand or a comparable country.
Must have completed at least PGY2.
Eligibility for Registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
NZ or Australian citizenship / resident status, or an appropriate visa to live and work in New Zealand.
