Must be able to perform job specific instruction provided by Superintendents, Foreman or Drill Operators.
Individuals must be safety-minded, hold a high level of common sense, and be able to work well outdoors in varying weather environments.
Out of town / state travel within New England region (ME, NH, VT, MA, RI, CT, NY) will be required approximately 75% of time.ResponsibilitiesAbility to perform job specific instruction provided by Superintendent & ForemanMust adhere to company safety procedures and policiesAbility to take direction and perform construction laboring activitiesPerform daily maintenance activities required for safe, efficient operation of assigned equipmentAbility to learn drilling terminology and functions of equipment.
Must be able to understand drill depth requirements and project specific hole tolerance to meet specificationsInventory permanent material and drill accessories, understand cost of accessories and drill toolingCommunicate changing conditions encountered during drilling or in site terrain to ForemanUnderstand field accounting system, accurately complete and submit timely paperwork including equipment inspection reports, drill logs, and timecardPhysical agilityParticipate in meetings as needed : Daily Heads-Up, Job Specific Safety MeetingsComplete Driller I training within designated periodMaintain clean and organize job siteDemonstrates a commitment to the "Safety First" mantra throughout the CompanyResponsibilities outside of operating drill rig will be required; general construction laboring activities, operating cement mixing equipment, operating all-terrain lull or man-lift based on project specific needsAbout YouQualificationsEquipment operating experience is helpful (earth moving construction equipment, farm equipment, etc.)Valid drivers license with good driving record and access to reliable transportation (out of town / state travel required)Must hold a high level of common sense relative to equipment and machinery operationMechanical aptitude based on past experience around equipment, motors, hydraulic, electrical systems desiredMust successfully pass ATF screeningsExperience with construction labor and heavy equipmentAbility to learn and develop skills to later perform higher level tasksPhysical Requirements : Ability to perform essential functions of the positionPosition requires proficiency to work at a steady pace on uneven and loose surfaces outsideAbility to lift up to 100 lbs occasionally, 5% of timeAbility to lift 50lbs, 50% of the timeStooping and bending 60 – 70% of the timeBut honestly, this is not the only blueprint for success at MD&B.
