As part of Health NewZealand, Te Tai o Poutini, you will play a pivotal role in advancing diabetic care,fostering collaboration, and leading change to deliver exceptional healthcareoutcomes.As a Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) – Diabetes, you will : Actas an expert practitioner, consultant, and leader in diabetes care.Deliverevidence-based nursing interventions to optimize patient outcomes.Collaboratewith multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care across varioussettings.Leadinitiatives in quality improvement, research, and clinical innovation.Educateand mentor nursing and allied health colleagues to enhance clinicalcompetencies.Participatein developing policies, standards, and guidelines for best practice.About the Team / Service / LocationThe ClinicalNurse Specialist is a highly trained Registered Nurse and recognised member ofthe interprofessional team located in the Central Region (Greymouth).
This roleis responsible for providing a range of holistic services across the agecontinuum within the community setting; enabling excellence in rural healthoutcomes in alignment with Health New Zealand- Te Tai o Poutini's vision andvalues.About YouQualifications and SkillsCurrentregistration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand and a valid practicingcertificate.Atleast 5 years of experience in diabetes care or a relevant senior nursingrole.Advancednursing skills and demonstrated leadership capabilities.Strongcommunication, organisational, and IT skills.Apostgraduate qualification or active enrolment in a relevant program.Endorsement for RN Prescribing or working towardsameWorkingtowards or completed a Clinical Master's degree.Proveninvolvement in research or quality initiatives that have influencedpractice.Working at Health New ZealandHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is dedicated to ensuringexcellent healthcare for the people of New Zealand.
