  • Permanent full time working 40 hours per week
  • New Zealand Registered Nurse with a current Annual Practising Certificate without any conditions on scope / practice with experience in Diabetes care

As part of Health NewZealand, Te Tai o Poutini, you will play a pivotal role in advancing diabetic care,fostering collaboration, and leading change to deliver exceptional healthcareoutcomes.

  • As a Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) - Diabetes, you will :
  • Act as an expert practitioner, consultant, and leader in diabetes care.
  • Deliver evidence-based nursing interventions to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care across various settings.
  • Lead initiatives in quality improvement, research, and clinical innovation.
  • Educate and mentor nursing and allied health colleagues to enhance clinical competencies.
  • Participate in developing policies, standards, and guidelines for best practice.
  • About the Team / Service / Location
  • The ClinicalNurse Specialist is a highly trained Registered Nurse and recognised member ofthe interprofessional team located in the Central Region (Greymouth).
  • This roleis responsible for providing a range of holistic services across the agecontinuum within the community setting; enabling excellence in rural healthoutcomes in alignment with Health New Zealand- Te Tai o Poutini's vision andvalues.

  • About You
  • Qualifications and Skills
  • Current registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand and a valid practicing certificate.
  • At least 5 years of experience in diabetes care or a relevant senior nursing role.
  • Advanced nursing skills and demonstrated leadership capabilities.
  • Strong communication, organisational, and IT skills.
  • A postgraduate qualification or active enrolment in a relevant program.
  • Endorsement for RN Prescribing or working toward same
  • Desirable :
  • Working towards or completed a Clinical Master's degree.
  • Proven involvement in research or quality initiatives that have influenced practice.
  • Senior Nurse PDRP portfolio.
  • Working at Health New Zealand
