Job Description
We're on the lookout for a Compliance and Data Engineer to join our Auckland manufacturing office!
You'll be responsible for all matters related to energy performance of our products, with a significant portion of your role emphasized on data analysis, along with simulation and hands-on testing in the test laboratory.
You will report on product performance throughout the development and post-development life cycle.
We are looking for a motivated self-starter to help grow our team's capability and capacity.
Key Responsibilities
Collect, analyse, and interpret data from HVAC systems to support technical, marketing, and compliance needs
Inspect, test, and report on product performance throughout the development and product lifecycle
Develop predictive data models and perform analysis to provide data-driven recommendations to internal teams and external stakeholders
Investigate discrepancies in test results and recommend design or setup improvements
Assemble and prepare products for testing, including basic wiring and configuration
Support lab improvement initiatives
Monitor changes in energy efficiency standards and provide compliance guidance to internal teams
Prepare and manage documentation for product registrations and regulatory submissions, including E3 (Australia) and EECA (New Zealand)
Collaborate across teams to influence product design, testing strategies, and release planning
Promote a safe and efficient working environment by following and improving safety practices
Qualifications
2–5 years of experience in product compliance, system performance, or test engineering, preferably in the HVAC industry.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience interpreting technical data and resolving performance issues.
Hands-on experience in product testing, lab environments, or HVAC systems.
Clear and confident communication skills, with the ability to present technical findings to a range of audiences.
A collaborative approach to working with cross-functional teams and contributing to product development and compliance.
