We are seeking multiple skilled

Analytics Engineer

to join our Financial Crime Platform on a full-time basis.

In this role, you will work on innovative projects, support BAU operations, and collaborate closely with our internal business stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for data-driven innovation.

As part of the Financial Crime - Sanctions Squad, you'll be on the forefront of supporting our ETL / ELT processes, building and supporting our financial crime fighting technology capability, cutting code to ensure our systems keep up with changes, and ensuring our systems run efficiently and reliably formulating solutions, communicating your solutions for peer review, and driving implementation.

We have cutting-edge vendor tools within this platform, so you'll also be across configuring and modifying specialty tools, adding new functionality, integrating with other ASB systems, and supporting vendor applications running on our servers or in the cloud.Our teams also help ASB meet its regulatory obligations, so an understanding of Data Management and Data Controls would be a huge advantage for you.

Some of the skills required for the role are :

Designing, building, and operating complex ETL / ELT processes, dimensional models, and other data solutions.

Converting stakeholder requirements into functional, implementable solutions.

Maintaining high standards of development quality, data management processes, and risk control in data solutions.

Identifying and implementing automation and simplification solutions on new and existing environments to increase efficiency and reliability.

Emphasizing the use of cloud tools, particularly StreamSets, dbt, and Snowflake, to design new patterns and solutions.

You will have a solid Analytics Engineering background with business analysis and leadership skills (we want everyone to lead from their position).

We are looking for an individual that will take ownership and ensuring our systems are running smoothly and the work on the backlog.

You are pragmatic and devise effective solutions that are delivered on time.

You are also the sort of person that seeks help when necessary, seizing the opportunity to learn, as well as offering to help others when they need a teacher.

You will work collaboratively with our squads and stakeholders to be the voice of engineering and deliver products that delight our customers.

We are looking for someone who has :

3+ years of analytics / data engineering experience

Advanced StreamSets, dbt or equivalent ETL / ELT tools

Experience with unit testing

Advanced SQL Server database knowledge

Knowledge of and / or interest in learning and applying software and architectural patterns

Knowledge of ISO would be of great advantage

In addition, the following would be an advantage :

Experience with NetReveal & / FircoSoft Applications

Understanding of Kafka or other messaging technologies

Experience of Windows and Linux Severs

Knowledge of Sanctions / Financial Crime would be a bonus.
