Digital Capability Advisor

Permanent, Proportional (0.4FTE, 15 hours)Work collaboratively in a well-established team with a strong reputationChampion the uplift of digital capability across Ara's many campusesCreate engaging, accessible and interactive online learning contentWork with kaimahi (colleagues) to build digital capability and learning across all Ara campusesJoin Ara's Capability team as a Digital Capability Advisor, supporting kaimahi (staff) and educators across our City, Manawa, Woolston, and Timaru campuses.

In this role, you'll uplift digital capability by working alongside colleagues to support their learning and needs while also developing and deploying engaging online learning solutions.You'll help kaimahi use digital tools like Office 365, Zoom, Panopto, Te Kete, and Turnitin effectively to enhance their practice.

From building interactive online learning content to supporting the use of emerging technologies, you'll be a go-to expert helping others thrive in a digital learning environment.If you're passionate about education and tech, and love helping others grow their digital confidence, we'd love to hear from you!

A tertiary qualification at Degree level in an appropriate disciplineStrong working knowledge of Office 365 tools and cloud-based platformsExperience designing and delivering face-to-face and online learning experiencesFamiliarity with eLearning tools such as Articulate StorylineAbility to design and facilitate learning experiences for diverse learner groupsSkill in identifying digital capability gaps and developing learning solutionsExperience providing support for digital tools across multiple locationsStrong customer service (people) skillsand commitment to high-quality, learner-focused supportExperience creating and maintaining training materials and digital resourcesSelf-managing and confident working independentlyDisplays initiative and sound judgment in identifying digital capability needsPassionate about technology in educationAdaptable to different learning styles and skill levelsAra Institute of Canterbury a business division of Te Pukenga (Ara), is a vibrant and progressive tertiary institute providing world-class, tertiary-level education throughout the Canterbury and Waitaki region.
