Whatever your own reasons, we offer a warm welcome, and a chance to build on your nursing career, whilst making a genuine impact for residents and their whanau, facing end of life.Te Mahi / About the PositionWe have a 0.8FTE permanent Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) position available, working across a seven-day roster, as part of our specialist palliative care service.The CNS role is a senior nursing position, focused on maintaining collaborative partnerships with aged care facilities through the provision of advanced nursing practice.

This includes excellence in clinical assessment, liaison, clinical teaching, and consultancy for residents and their whanau, with complex palliative care needs.

This approach ensures the physical, social, emotional, and spiritual elements of wellbeing are met holistically - tinana, whanau, hinengaro and wairua.Additionally, this senior nursing role provides clinical guidance and mentorship, in support of the career development of the Palliative Care Specialist Nurse (PCSN) within the PARC team.The CNS position works collaboratively with the integrated specialist palliative care team, general practice teams, and community services to build and sustain strong professional relationships for the aged care sector.He momo / About youThe successful candidate will have advanced clinical assessment skills and care planning capabilities to prioritise, advocate and coordinate alongside clinical staff in aged residential care facilities.Alongside this, an ability to build strong clinical networks and maintain excellent relationships across the aged care and community / tertiary sector.If you have at least 4 years post-registration nursing practice, comprehensive knowledge of palliative care, experience working in aged care / gerontology or district nursing, as a minimum qualification- a completed post graduate diploma in palliative care or equivalent, clinical teaching experience, established leadership credentials, and a full driver's license you may be who we are looking for.Ki te huanga / Benefits of working at Nurse MaudeAs well as joining a high-functioning and supportive team in a varied and rewarding role, Nurse Maude offers : Wellbeing- The wellbeing of our staff is very important to us.
