Responsibilities
Directly support the Head of Faculty, lead a senior subject area (subject to specialisation and vacancy), and manage the Junior Social Science programme.
Drive the professional growth of the wider Social Science team, individually and collectively.
Lead curriculum design and contribute to knowledge-rich, cognitively informed pedagogy.
Demonstrate strengths as a classroom teacher and provide leadership within the Faculty of Social Science.

Our Social Science Faculty offers a wide range of subjects, including History, Geography, Classical Studies, Psychology, Sociology, Te Reo Maori and Tourism, alongside our junior programme.
Salary and Conditions
The terms and conditions, including base salary and hours of work, for this position are set by the Secondary Teachers\' Collective Agreement.
The base salary for trained and registered teachers will range from $61,329 to $103,086, depending on the applicant\'s qualifications and experience.
An individual's actual base salary will be established by a salary assessment once a role is confirmed.
