• Tiritiri Matangi is a world-renowned island sanctuary, attracting over 30,000 visitors each year, a ferry runs Wednesday to Sunday every week allowing day visitors to explore this scientific reserve.Following the successful eradication of unwanted predators, the island now provides a safe haven for rare native bird species and tuatara within its restored habitats.We are seeking a motivated and adaptable Ranger – Biodiversity / Heritage & Visitors to join our small on-island team.

This role is critical in protecting and enhancing the island's unique biodiversity, caring for its cultural and natural heritage, and providing outstanding experience for visitors.This is a two-ranger island, with overlapping 10-day shifts.

Accommodation is provided for the duration of the shift, and the ranger is expected to live on island during this time and to come off during their rostered 4 days off.The position will be focussed on :
