Allevia Kensington Hospital is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our dedicated Post Anaesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Recovery team.

We have a permanent part-time opportunity available for an experienced nurse who thrives in a fast-paced, supportive environment focused on delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.

About the Role

Based in our PACU / Recovery unit

Permanent, with part-time hours

Rostered shifts of up to 10 hours

Hours range between 7 : 30am – 11 : 00pm, Monday to Saturday

What We're Looking For

Current New Zealand Practicing Certificate

Proven experience in PACU, ideally gained from a New Zealand organization

A positive, can-do attitude with a strong focus on quality and safety

A commitment to best practice and exceptional patient care

A collaborative approach and strong communication skills

Flexibility to work rostered shifts, including evenings and Saturdays

Digital literacy – familiarity with modern workplace technologies

Key Performance Expectations

Professional Practice : Role model professional nursing standards, proactively coach and transfer knowledge to junior / less experienced team members.

Provide guidance to healthcare assistants and adhere to ethical and legislative requirements.

Team Collaboration : Foster effective communication within multidisciplinary teams.

Quality & Safety : Actively participate in audits and reviews, identify and manage clinical risks, support quality improvement initiatives, and uphold infection control practices.

Compliance & Values : Champion the values, policies, and procedures of the organisation, including health & safety, Treaty of Waitangi principles, and privacy regulations.

Ongoing Development : Engage in continuous professional development and performance review processes.
