This will include a combination of 5 hour & 8-hour shifts within the roster.
The salary isNZNO MECA Step 2-7About the Team / ServiceThe Accident and Medical Clinic is a busy 24-hour Urgent Care Clinic situated at Kenepuru Hospital.
We provide care to those who require urgent medical treatment and are unable to see their own GP.
The team consists of Urgent Care Physicians and trainees, local GPs, receptionists, Nurse Practitioners and Registered Nurses.
The department sees approximately 37,000 presentations per year from a wide range of ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds.About youThe ideal applicant would be : Enthusiastic dynamic and forward thinking.Have a strong patient care focus and able to deliver high quality of care for patients and whanauTeam player and have the ability to work independentlyHave previous experience in : Urgent Care, Practice Nursing, Paediatric or Acute care settings.Have practical skills and knowledge in areas such as triage, wound care, plastering, cannulation and phlebotomy.Experience working with Evolution would be an advantageRegistration with Nursing Council of New Zealand (NCNZ)A current Annual Practicing Certificate (APC) and scope appropriate to place of workWe are keen to hear from nurses who are interested in completing post graduate study and advancing in clinical practice and have the potential of working as an independent health professional within the team.
