The Otaki to North Levin project focuses on upgrading the transport link along State Highway 1 (SH1) between Otaki and North Levin to improve road safety, reduce congestion, enhance travel efficiency, and support regional economic growth.In partnership with NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi, Muaupoko Tribal Authority, local hapu of Ngati Raukawa ki te Tonga, and the Horowhenua District Council, this project will be executed through a two-alliance approach.
Each alliance will be responsible for delivering a section of the road and associated works, ensuring a collaborative and comprehensive delivery.
This exciting new four-lane 24.8km highway project will dramatically improve safety and resilience, providing better access to walking and cycling facilities for those moving around or through the Horowhenua and Kapiti districts.
The project includes multiple large complex bridge structures plus a full interchange at Taraua Road, a half interchange north at Taylors Road, two roundabouts and approximately 4m m3 of complex earthworks significant, drainage infrastructure and a structural asphalt concrete pavement.This role is supporting the North Alliance (delivered by partners Fulton Hogan, HEB Construction, WSP and Aurecon).
About the roleWe are seeking a Community Liaison Adviser to join us, to be based in Levin.
This exciting opportunity will have you playing a key role in supporting the successful delivery of the O2NL project by ensuring effective communication and engagement with partners, stakeholders and the local community.
Day to day, you'll : Work with the Comms and Stakeholder Engagement Lead and other Community Liaison Advisors from across the project work to deliver best-for-project communications and stakeholder engagement.Develop and maintain positive relationships with project near neighbours, with a particular focus on residents subject to commitments through property or mediation agreements, or consent conditions.Through one-on-one meetings and wider community forums, engage and deliver clear communications to locals and local communities.Liaise with Construction, Property and Consenting on required engagement and communications relating to specific properties, providing input into tracking and management of project commitments.Work with subject matter experts across required disciplines, with a view to joined-up customer-centric engagement.What We're Looking ForOur ideal candidate will have a strong track record and prior work experience, where the ability to build and maintain relationships with others is critical.
This could be in a similar communications role, key accounts management position or any other role where a high level of stakeholder interaction and communication is required.To be successful, you'll be a team player, can communicate effectively across a range of audiences, have excellent verbal and written skills, and be able to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced construction environment.Why Join Us?
