We require a motivated, enthusiastic and punctual ground crew for our agricultural helicopter operation based in Otautau, Southland. The position is loading the helicopter with fertiliser or chemical and all other helicopter related activities. You will be required to assist in the upkeep of the hangar, other buildings, surrounding grounds and vehicles. This is a fixed term position but may become Full Time.

The applicant needs to have a positive attitude and be able to work well individually as well as in a team. The ideal candidate will show reliability, maturity and have good communication skills.

This job is physically demanding with long hours and requires you to be able to get up early in the morning.

Must have a full driver’s licence and must be able to achieve class 2 within 3 months of commencing employment if you haven’t already got one. The role requires on and off-road driving.

Class 4, Dangerous Goods, Approved Handlers and forklift or loader experience would be an advantage. Training can be given.

Single person’s accommodation may be available.

Must be a safety conscious person and become completely familiar with our SMS (safety management system) protocols.

This job may suit a Commercial Pilot wanting to build flight hours.
