Overview

Ear Nurse role at Audika .

Role purpose : To provide specialized ear care through a professional, high quality ear health micro-suction specialist service. Through this service, identify ear health issues to be able to provide appropriate treatments.

Key responsibilities

• Perform procedures such as micro-suction to remove earwax and other obstructions.
• Diagnose and treat ear conditions, identifying issues such as infections, hearing loss and other ear-related health problems and provide appropriate treatments.
• Educate patients, offering guidance on ear health, preventative care, and how to manage chronic conditions.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals by working closely with audiologists and audiometrists, general practitioners and other specialists to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
• Ensure all equipment is maintained and repaired to a professional standard.
• Maintain and comply with appropriate infectious control procedures.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, documenting examinations, treatments, and follow-up care.
• Facilitation of Hearing Screening assessments via the AMTAS units (if applicable). Training will be provided.
