We offer competitive wages that align with those in the secondary sector and have proved to be a positive career / promotion pathway for teachers into both the secondary and tertiary sectors.The Secondary Tertiary High School is quite different to a conventional mainstream school setting.
It has a small roll (200 students) and a low teacher-student ratio because its purpose is to manaaki our rangatahi for whom mainstream high schools are not meeting their needs.
We provide a high level of pastoral care and dedicated teaching time, and plenty of whanau involvement to support our rangatahi to be successful.The successful applicant will need a current teacher registration, proven recent teaching experience with NCEA in a NZ secondary school, a current teaching qualification and recent experience in assessing NCEA te reo Maori from Years 11 to 12.
Applicants should also supply information on supporting subjects.
