JOB DUTIES

Scope and plan complex technical projects in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Design and develop high quality products which are commercially successful.

Write clean, testable, maintainable, and efficient code - expect to spend 70–80% of your time coding.

Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers across teams.

Drive continuous improvement in engineering processes and tooling.

Collaborate with product and design teams to align technical solutions with business goals.

Act as the primary technical owner and subject matter expert for a core product or platform area.

Help ensure the health and safety of all our people and all parties, at all times.

YOU MUST HAVE

5+ years of software development experience

Extensive programming background with 3+ years of object-oriented programming experience using C / C++

Embedded product development experience

Experience with an embedded build system, either Buildroot or Yocto

Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Understanding and interest in electronics and hardware

Continuous integration tools (Jenkins, Github Actions) experience

Unit testing and automated testing tools experience

Understanding past failures with building ideal software and product architecture and sharing lessons learned
