The Role

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and working closely with the Board, the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will play a pivotal role in leading the finance function across Allied Farmers (ALF) and NZ Rural Land Management (NZRLM). This reduced hours (part‑time) position offers a unique opportunity to combine hands‑on operational ownership with strategic input into property investments, transactions, and long‑term M&A activity. It is ideally suited to an experienced, commercially minded finance leader who is comfortable working in a lean environment, managing external advisors, and engaging at Board level.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day finance operations, including cash management, reporting, budgets, forecasts, and NZX disclosures.
• Oversee property‑related financial activity, including acquisitions, disposals, and leases.
• Prepare financial analysis, Board memos, capital structure assessments, and scenario testing to support strategic investment decisions.
• Deliver timely and accurate Board and Audit & Risk Committee reporting with clear commentary and insights.
• Manage advisory relationships (audit, tax, compliance, and legal).
• Act as a trusted partner to the CEO and Board on financial and strategic matters.
