Learning support coordinator
We are seeking a learning support coordinator to champion inclusive education, build capability across our school, and create a strong, culturally responsive pastoral support network for our students, staff and whānau.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate the provision of learning support across the school.
- Work collaboratively with teachers to identify student needs, plan targeted programmes and monitor progress.
- Ensure every child receives the guidance and resources they need to achieve their potential by working closely with students, teachers, whānau, school leaders and external agencies.
- Provide support to individual students or groups of students when targeted or tailored supports are needed.
- Build strong, positive relationships with students, staff and families to create a supportive learning environment.
- Support learners with diverse learning and behavioural needs.
- Organise and oversee the professional learning of teacher aides.
- Work with the leadership team to strengthen school-wide learning support systems and contribute to creating inclusive practices for all learners.
Qualifications & Experience
Strong responsive relationships with children and their whānau.Sound understanding of our community and the ecology of our school.Experience of working in a Catholic school setting with well‑established connections to a wide range of pastoral and learning support agencies.Employment Details

Primary and intermediate (Years 1–8) / kura tuatahi, Certificated teacher
