As the Head of External Relations and Communications , you'll shape how the FMA connects and engages with the world around us. This is a strategic leadership role where you'll lead and guide how we show up, ensuring our voice, relationships and delivery all contribute to achieving our organisational outcomes.

You’ll lead our approach to external engagement across government, media, and key stakeholder relationships, ensuring we’re connected, credible, and proactive in how we communicate and collaborate.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include :

• Leading the development of external relations and communications strategies that align with the FMA’s strategic priorities and long‑term goals.
• Providing strong strategic leadership to enhance the FMA’s reputation and relationships through proactive, clear, confident, and well‑informed communication.
• Building and nurturing influential partnerships that drive the right behaviours and outcomes across the financial sector.
• Strengthening engagement and collaboration with key stakeholders, including through the Council of Financial Regulators (CoFR) to make a positive systemic impact across the financial system.
