We are looking for an energetic and engaged ICT Communications Technician to play a vital role in our business to support, operate, maintain and enhance our ICT and Managed Services and Solutions at Auckland, Hamilton, Tauranga and other regions of North land
You will play a vital role in our business and take the complexity out of the technology decision making for our customers and bring a positive impact to their business.
Key Responsibilities
- Installation and support of traditional off and on-premise & IT-based communications.
- Good knowledge of active and passive networks specially in copper network
- SLA based tickets handling for copper and fiber faults in residential and commercial network.
- Deliver projects as per scope and within budget, and milestones, obtaining technical requirements from customers, configuring, provisioning, testing VoIP & voice services, routers and switches
- Remote and on-site support to existing clients' communications networks including end-user training
- Maintain service tickets and support documentation inline with company guidelines, workflows, policies and procedures
- Monitor and escalate faults with vendors, upstream providers and ISPs
- Work closely with other staff in the Technical and Service Delivery Team
Essential Skills and Experience
Minimum 2 Year's experience in a similar role implementing, maintaining, troubleshooting ICT Communications systems., and Level 3 educationLocate, identify and rectify copper & fiber faults in industrial and commercial areasExcellent troubleshooting & fault analysis, verbal and written communication skillsAbility to handle multiple tasks and handle pressure situationsHighly motivated and organised with a 'Can-do' attitude and attention to detail to meet individual and team deadlines and milestonesInstalling, managing, and troubleshooting complex ISP networks including NBN services (FTTX & COAX)Knowledge of Data Networking including LAN, WAN, routers / firewalls, at commercial sitesStrong focus on customer serviceExcellent communication skills and a consultative approachLocation of Work : Auckland, and other Regions of North Island
