About the opportunity | Mō tēnei tūranga

Join Fonterra's IP Asset Strategy team as our IP Commercialisation Senior Advisor. In this role, you will provide crucial support across our Co-operative, partnering with teams that develop and commercialise IP to shape strategic advice and drive operational excellence. From guiding collaborative initiatives to streamlining IP commercialisation efforts, you’ll play a pivotal role in unlocking the potential of Fonterra’s intellectual assets.

Your key accountabilities

• Provide strategic IP intelligence by supporting the development of IP strategies for categories and products, and ensuring these strategies are well-socialised with stakeholders.
• Develop frameworks for external collaborations, assisting with the negotiation, execution, and ongoing management of licensing agreements and IP co-development ventures.
• Support due diligence efforts for investments, purchases, or M&A activities, ensuring our IP assets are strategically aligned and risk is managed.
• Contribute to a robust IP commercialisation pipeline, assisting with valuations, financial structuring, and guiding in-market teams on engaging with customers.
• Help maintain a strong IP governance framework, supporting the development and implementation of policies, standards, and procedures.
• To note, we are open to an Auckland, Palmerston North or Wellington location.
