The RHCNZ Summer Studentship Programme offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in applied research, working alongside experienced radiology professionals on real-world projects.For 2025 we have an opportunity available for a research project in : Natural History of Visceral Artery Aneurysms based in AucklandProgramme OverviewRunning from November 2025 to early February 2026, thisfixed-term programme immerses students in active radiology-related research.
You will contribute to meaningful projects, develop research skills, and gain exposure to medical imaging innovation.Key benefits include : Practical experience in research planning, data collection, analysis, and presentation.Mentorship from dedicated project supervisors.Opportunities to contribute to radiology-led innovation and better patient outcomes.Professional development and networking.Time CommitmentEach studentship involves up to 300 hours over approximately 7–8 weeks, with a two-week break over the Christmas / New Year period.Eligibility CriteriaTo apply, you shouldBe currently enrolled in an undergraduate or postgraduate programme at a NZ tertiary institution in medicine or health sciencesHave a scholarship GPA / GPE of 5.50 or above.Able to be co-located with the project supervisor for the duration of the project.Be available for the specified time commitment over the entire studentship period.Have a genuine interest in research and innovation.Be eligible to undertake work in New Zealand.Be available to participate in an interview (if required) in late SeptemberPreference will be given to applicants who have not previously held an RHCNZ studentship.EmploymentSuccessful applicants will be offered a fixed-term employment agreement.How to ApplyApplications close on 19 September 2025.
