As a Civic Gardener, you will be an integral part of the Open Spaces team, responsible for maintaining and enhancing the Whakatāne District's public spaces. This hands‑on role involves a wide range of tasks, including planting, pruning, weeding, and general maintenance to ensure our open spaces, parks, and playgrounds are inviting, safe, and well‑maintained for the community. You'll also assist with tree work, herbicide applications, small machinery operations, and litter collection. With a strong focus on health and safety, you'll contribute to creating a vibrant and sustainable environment for residents and visitors alike.
