Fire Safety Training Technician

PWFP Fire Safety is growing - and we're looking for the right person to grow with us.

Fluid Recruitment are proud to be partnered with PWFP as they continue to grow across the South Island!

Based in Central Otago (ideally Queenstown, Cromwell or surrounds), this role gives you real variety : you'll be out on the road servicing fire safety gear one day and delivering fire training sessions the next.

We'll provide full training, the tools for the job, and a talented team behind you. What we need from you is the right attitude, confidence with people, and a strong work ethic.

What You'll Do

Service and maintain fire extinguishers, hose reels, signage and related gear

Deliver fire safety training and demonstrations to client teams

Provide practical health & safety advice

Sell fire safety products and services where suitable

Manage your own daily schedule and report to the Operations Manager

Travel across the South Island - including Christchurch (twice annually for 1-week stints) and occasional trips to Southland, Te Anau, Dunedin

This isn't a strict 8-5 - start / finish times will vary depending on the client site and travel. You'll need to be self-managing, flexible, and proactive.

What We're Looking For

You don't need fire industry experience - we'll train you. But to thrive in this role, you'll need :

Confidence speaking to groups and delivering training

Strong people and communication skills - both verbal and written

Good computer skills - emails, reports, and training documentation

Strong time management and attention to detail

Sales experience or customer service skills (a bonus!)

A team-first attitude and ability to work independently

Full NZ Driver Licence (manual + auto)

Drug and alcohol-free with strong work references

Physically fit and comfortable working on the road
