Responsibilities
- Apply principles and professional knowledge and judgment to plan and implement projects of reasonable complexity, with guidance provided by more experienced staff
- Produce conceptual and detailed designs, reports, proposals and specifications to meet client requirements for projects of reasonable complexity
- Coordinate a small number of staff by assigning work and directing outcomes and verify work of other technical staff with advice from experienced specialists
- Provide technical expertise and advice to designers, engineers and sub‑consultants
- Build strong internal and external relationships and assist senior members of the business to secure additional business opportunities
- Maintain understanding of the industry, professional bodies, the Beca business and its clients, relevant standards and procedures in the discipline
- Obtain professional certification / registration and involvement with industry and professional bodies
- Work to achieve team goals through personal effort with regular attendance and effective contribution to team / project meetings
- Engage in the business and associated operations including budget and revenue expenditure and understand impact of work practices on the financial outcome of projects
- Consolidate and extend technical skills and show initiative in seeking learning opportunities
- Communicate positively and effectively ensuring that team members , Managers and clients are consistently well informed about progress and timelines
- Demonstrate effective communication, presentation, networking and consulting skills
- Seek specific and constructive feedback to ensure professional and technical development
- Other duties as directed

Tertiary qualificationExpertise in application of principles and practices within disciplineExperience in a consulting environmentProfessional body certification / registration (desirable)Understand and adhere to the Beca valuesAct in accordance with industry / professional ethics maintaining professionalism at all timesContribution and effort is aligned to organisational objectivesComply with all company HSE systems and procedures relevant to the role, in accordance with local documented HSE responsibilities and accountabilities.
