Responsibilities
Monitor and report on the progress of works
Carry out inspection of engineering works prior to concreting, subsequent construction work and defects rectification works
To carry out supervision and inspection of the works as directed by the Supervision QP, CRE,SRE, consultants or Superintending Officer
To manage and supervise the Resident Technical Officer under his charge
Ensure records of all engineering works including records of tests, defect rectification, inspections, work progress, material and equipment on site, safety, etc, are timely updated and properly kept
Attending site, progress, variation and coordination meetings
Verifying all reports and claims submitted by the contractors
Requirements
Possess degree in Civil / Structural Engineering from a recognized university by PE Board Singapore
Registered Resident Engineer with the Joint Accreditation Committee (JAC) of the Institution of Engineers Singapore (IES) and the Association of Consulting Engineers Singapore (ACES)
Minimum 10 years' experience in supervision of institutional development with strong knowledge in civil engineering work, bored piling, structural steel and reinforced concrete construction
Must be familiar with local regulations / codes for civil & structural related to building projects
A good team player and experience in leading a team of Resident Technical Officers
Strong ability to interpret the Contract documents and drawings on the works to be carried out
Ability to resolve site and technical issues, prepare and document detailed site progress reports
Good knowledge in Microsoft Word and Excel
Possess effective communication skills and able to interact with people at all levels
