The Content Delivery team is responsible for sourcing all local and international content that is scheduled on TVNZ channels and TVNZ+.
This involves a high level of engagement with both local and international production and distribution companies to ensure our content is delivered to us on time and meets our technical standards so we can give the best possible viewer and user experience.
The Opportunity – Te turanga
As a Digital Asset Specialist, your responsibilities include helping to enhance our TVNZ + platform by sourcing imagery and trailers for our Content teams to create the most amazing user experience.
You will also source a variety of synopsis material for all our content across both TVNZ + and our three TVNZ channels & sometimes you will need to write your own copy.
Your focus will also be :
Creating and scheduling adhoc promotional assets and trailers for TVNZ+
Manage captioning requirements for TVNZ+ content and liaise with third-party services such as Able
Selecting imagery from video files and editing assets using Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom
Responsible for dealing with related technical issues and finding solutions.
Includes managing image metadata, asset formatting, and ensuring compliance with platform specifications
Proactively sourcing, sharing and managing the storage requirements of all content and data associated with the Digital Asset Specialist role including adding and editing metadata for internal systems and for end-user experience on TVNZ+
Work collaboratively with internal teams such as Sales, Blacksands, the TVNZ+ team, and Content Operations to ensure cohesive delivery of digital assets

To be successful in this role, we are looking for someone that has the following :
Experience with digital image editing software, Adobe Photoshop or Lightroom experience preferred
Solid knowledge in both non-destructive and basic destructive editing workflows, including adjustment layers, masking, colour correction, healing / cloning, and object removal
The ability to edit and process a range of image formats — including compressed (.jpeg, .png, .TIFF, .HEIC) and uncompressed (.CR2, .DNG, .ARW) to support the delivery of high-quality visual assets for TVNZ+
A creative eye and the ability to write inspiring and accurate copy
Ability to efficiently multi-task and work effectively in a fast-paced, transformative environment under pressure and to tight deadlines
Shows initiative and willingness to learn and take on new challenges
Displays agility, enthusiasm and the ability to thrive in an ever-changing media landscape
Displays a viewer centric lens across all activities
Excellent attention to detail in all aspects of work
