Join our Investment Operations team and help deliver impactful science investment for Aotearoa New Zealand.
We are looking for a motivated, detail-oriented Investment Coordinator to join our collaborative and inclusive team.Tenei turanga - About the Role : As an Investment Coordinator, you will play a key role in planning, coordinating and delivering science funding rounds across MBIE's science investment funds (e.g., Catalyst Fund).
Working closely with fund teams, legal, communications and other stakeholders, you will help ensure funding rounds run smoothly, from timeline planning and contract administration to stakeholder support and continuous improvement.
You will apply best-practice funding operations to achieve high-quality outcomes.Alongside planning and coordination, you will provide technical support to funding applicants and contract holders, test funding templates in our online system, and prepare basic reports and analysis to support investment processes.This is a great opportunity to develop your skills in project planning and coordination, while gaining hands-on experience in funding operations and stakeholder engagement.
Your work will contribute to delivering investment funds that support programmes building high-performing science and innovation systems.The Investment Operations team sits within the Science System Investment and Performance Branch.

Diversity is important to us, and our managers are committed to supporting staff in their career development.What you will doLead timeline planning and coordination of science funding rounds.Provide customer-focused technical support to funding applicants and contract holders.Provide contract administration services, including drafting, peer review, and execution of contracts and variations.Assist with configuration and testing of funding templates in MBIE's online funding system to ensure they are fit for purpose.Prepare basic reports and analysis for planning, running, and reviewing funding rounds and processes.Collaborate across teams to support operational delivery and continuous business improvements.Skills and Experience RequiredWhat we are looking for2 – 4 years' relevant experience in project planning and coordination or funding roles.Foundation in broad project planning, business process support, with exposure to government processes or funding operation and contracting areas considered an advantage.Familiarity with productivity software and proven ability to learn and navigate online systems (knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 would be considered an advantage).
