Weare looking for Registered Nurses to join our Ward B8 team who are passionate aboutpatient centred care and are keen to advance their nursing skills andknowledge.
We have one full-time permanent position available andtwo fixed-term positions available covering parental leave.

Role 2
0.9 FTE (36hrs per week from March
Role 3 :
0.9FTE (36hrs per week from Feb

Ward B8 is also a Dedicated Education Unit and we have a ProgressiveCare Unit which also provides an opportunity to expand your nursing andobservation skills.
Aboutthe Service
WardB8 is a busy, acute ward caring for patients with neurological conditionsincluding; brain tumours, head injuries, spinal tumours, movement disorders andseizures.
As the largest inpatient neuroscience facility in the South Island itis a busy medical and surgical environment caring for a complex patient groupwith a diverse range of neurological and neurosurgical conditions.
Ourlarge multidisciplinary team are a skilled, passionate group of specialistsfocused on advancing care that will improve clinical outcomes for our patientgroup.
Aboutyou
Weare looking for Registered Nurses with recent Neurosurgery / NeurologyorSurgical experience.
You'll have excellent communication and interpersonalskills and the ability to work well under pressure within a multidisciplinaryteam environment.
Neurosurgery and Neurology experience – preferred butnot essential
2+ years Surgical experience
Ability to work all shifts – Morning, Afternoon andNights
Ability to work both autonomously and collaborativelywith other professionals
Committed to providing a consistently high standard ofpatient care
Sound assessment and decision-making skills
Work calmly under pressure
Excellent time management, organisational andinterpersonal skills
The ability to be adaptable, flexible and solutionfocused
Registered with the Nursing Council of New Zealand witha current Annual Practising Certificate (APC)
