Our operational season at The Remarkables and Coronet Peak is scheduled to be mid-June through early / mid October.If you're an experienced Level 3 or 4 certified Instructor / Trainer / Coach we'd like to hear from you.
We have a focus on delivering high value, high quality experiences in private and group lessons as well as multi-day programmes.

You'll learn more about this during onboarding.Role and responsibilitiesAs a member of our Queenstown Snowsports Whanau, you'll be joining an international team of professional instructors, trainers and coaches.
You'll participate in group and private lessons, multi-day programmes and performance workshops relevant to your experience, with a consistent focus on delivering high value, high quality experiences.
You will progress guests using NZSIA / SBINZ movement development guidelines.
A key focus for all lessons and programmes is that guests have more fun with us than without us, with a new guest ability level focus on speed, terrain preference, competence and confidence rather than filtering guests by mechanics and skills alone.
Our all-day group lesson experiences focus on longer term enjoyment, progress and adventure through the day.
You will be adaptable to an ever-changing environment and to the needs of the Leadership Team.
You will also assist with moving guests through rentals, on-snow check-ins and other off-snow operational duties as required.
You'll be motivated towards continuous development of your skiing and riding through daily training opportunities.Hours of work depend on weather, conditions and business levels and cannot be guaranteed; however, we will endeavour to maximise your days through our scheduling system.Qualifications and skillsA member of a national instructor organisation (NZSIA, PSIA, BASI, APSI, CSIA etc) with a current active membership.
ISIA or equivalent Level 3, 4, Trainer or Examiner Level.
We will accept applications from experienced Level 2 instructors who hold NZ Working Holiday Visas or already have the legal right to work in NZ.
Previous instructing and coaching experience is essential with a minimum of 3 seasons of teaching or coaching experience for consideration of employer-sponsored visas.
Additional qualifications and experience outside your main sport / discipline (Freestyle, Freeride, Race, Adaptive, Kids Cert, Alpine or Freeride coaching) are advantageous.Further informationAll successful applicants will be vetted by NZ Police.

If you have availability restrictions due to NZSIA / SBINZ courses or exams, or if you need to leave before the end of the season, please detail this information.
You may be asked about your preferred days to work and the number of full-time seasons you have teaching or coaching in snowsports.
You will be asked about your main language, second language, any referrals from current NZ Ski employees, prior employment history with NZSki, and personal qualities and skills that make you a strong candidate.
You may also be asked about any criminal convictions and to provide details if applicable.In the interest of Health and Safety, NZSki maintains a drug and alcohol free workplace and reserves the right to require drug and / or alcohol testing.
NZSki also supports a smoke-free environment, and staff are expected not to smoke while in uniform.
A pre-employment medical baseline test may be required, and NZSki may seek information about referees and use it for employment decisions.
All information collected will be used solely to evaluate your suitability for employment.
