Job descriptionA minimum of 5+ year’s bicycle mechanic experience working on a range of bikes including mountain, electric, road, and gravel bikes Proven skills in suspension servicing and advanced setup Confident with modern electronic drivetrain setup and maintenance E-bike service qualifications and experience Experience with computer-based scheduling programs Ability to work independently Solution-focused with strong problem-solving ability Demonstrated productivity and efficiency in workshop settings Availability to work weekends and being legally allowed to work in NZ Join a fun, positive and like-minded team in the dynamic and exciting bike, ski and outdoor industry Some roster flexibility to ensure a work / life balance Competitive remuneration with excellent additional staff purchasing privileges Industry rates at local bike parks and ski resorts Number of applicants Skills match Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in New Zealand? About Us :
We are a ski+bike+outdoor store in the beautiful resort town of Wanaka. We’re looking for an experienced bike mechanic to join our bike workshop team. This is a permanent, full-time role with a minimum of 30 hours a week, starting in October 2025.
Your role will involve :
- Assessing and performing a variety of customer repairs
- Assisting with the maintenance of our bike rental fleet
- Assembling customer and rental bikes
- Performing different levels of service packages
- Ordering and stock taking of workshop parts
- Other general duties as required
