Te Pae Oranga – Administration Coordinator

Location : Police National Headquarters (PNHQ) | Band F | Police Employee | Fixed term – Full Time (ASAP to 1st May 2026) | Local Advertising – Wellington District | Job Ref : JR

We are pleased to offer an exciting opportunity for someone to join the Resolutions Team as a Te Pae Oranga Administration Coordinator based at Police National Headquarters. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting our dynamic, expanding and innovative Te Pae Oranga team.

Te Pae Oranga provides an alternative approach for individuals involved in low-level offending, where formal prosecution may not be in the public interest. The programme focuses on holding individuals accountable while helping them address the underlying causes of their behaviour, ultimately aiming to reduce the likelihood of reoffending.

Key Responsibilities

  • Transition nationally referred cases from NIA into Ara Whānui.
  • Ensure accurate data entry and document uploads.
  • Record all required exemption approvals.
  • Timely handling of case files, closure reports, and providing phone support to Liaison Officers and Supported Resolution Coordinators.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to maintain data accuracy and compliance.
  • Maintain and update the case management system, ensuring all supporting documentation is prepared and recorded appropriately.

Key Accountabilities

  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of case closures and associated reporting tasks.
  • Assess referral forms to confirm they meet required standards and identify cases that may qualify for exemption.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with district teams regarding referral‑related matters.
  • Determine when further investigation or follow‑up is warranted.
  • Adhere to established protocols for the management and handling of case files.
  • Confirm the completeness and accuracy of referral form information through thorough verification.
  • Foster and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with Providers and other key stakeholders.
  • Apply referral policies and required standards consistently and with attention to detail.

    Salary

    This position is covered by a collective agreement and salary will commence between $80,295 and $83,973, depending on skills and experience relevant to the role.
