Delivery Manager - Projects

Overview

We\'re looking for a Delivery Manager - Projects to join our Southern Contracting Division. This role can be based in Palmerston North or Masterton, depending on the right candidate.

The role

As a Delivery Manager - Projects, you’ll drive the growth of a profitable, sustainable, and competitive contracting unit. You will lead the way in achieving safety, operational, and performance targets while spearheading significant improvements in quality, productivity, and safety. You’ll work closely with internal teams, the network owner and subcontractors, local authorities, and other key stakeholders to ensure seamless project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring all operational, regulatory, and customer requirements are met or exceeded.
• Leading a team of Project Managers, providing supervision, support, and development.
• Managing workloads, productivity, and project delivery to meet performance goals.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders.
• Driving team productivity and maintaining a steady forward work pipeline.
• Identifying opportunities for process improvements, enhancing quality and safety.
• Ensuring compliance with all HSQE (Health, Safety, Quality, Environment) requirements.
• Maintaining accountability for Northpower\'s property, plant, and equipment.
